Patrick G. Drake has been an associate with the firm since 2007. 

Litigation and Out of Court Resolution:

  • Mr. Drake has successfully resolved over one thousand matters for clients since joining the firm.  He has secured over three hundred final judgments for clients.  He has resolved many matters through out of court settlements, with and without the use of mediation. 
  • Mr. Drake has assisted clients in a wide variety of civil litigation matters, involving residential and commercial landlord-tenant disputes, construction, contractual disputes, collections, will contests, personal injury, family law and insurance defense.
  • His clients have prevailed in over ten jury trials.

Prior to entering law school, Mr. Drake was a graphic designer and copywriter in New York City.  Prior to 2006, he served as Assistant Managing Editor of the South Texas Law Review, Director of the Board of Advocates and a member of Phi Delta Phi honors fraternity.  While in law school, Mr. Drake authored "Victim-Offender Mediation in Texas" which was selected for publication in the 2006 South Texas Law Review-Summary Judgments in Texas.  In 2005, he gained recognition as a moot court varsity brief writer and oralist in the University of San Diego Criminal Procedure National Moot Court Competition – earning a top ten ranking, won the Addie Lucille Heaton Award for Distinguished Service to South Texas Law Review and the State Bar of Texas Law Student Division Professionalism Award.  As South Texas's representative to the American Bar Association, Mr. Drake received the Bronze Key for increasing student membership more than any member in the 13th Circuit.

Mr. Drake is a member of the Houston Symphony Chorus and St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
