Charles L. Daugherty is a partner at Hoover Slovacek LLP and has been successfully litigating complex construction matters and contract disputes for nearly ten years.  Mr. Daugherty also has substantial experience in handling lien disputes, including the invalidation and/or enforcement of same.  Mr. Daugherty is further experienced in handling appellate matters and collection on judgments successfully acquired for his clients. 

In his practice, Mr. Daugherty represents plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of matters at every stage of the litigation process.  This includes acting for the client by drafting and responding to demand letters; preparation and filing of pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, and responses; and the preparation for and attendance at hearings, depositions, mediations, trials, and appellate arguments.  Mr. Daugherty is focused on positive results for his clients. 

Mr. Daugherty is a certified mediator.  He also clerked for the First Court of Appeals where he reviewed and wrote pre-submission memoranda on numerous appellate issues before the Court.

Mr. Daugherty served as Executive Editor for the Houston Business and Tax Law Journal while attending the University of Houston Law Center.
