James T. Muska works as an associate in the Hoover Slovacek LLP litigation group. Mr. Muska represents construction companies, landlords, and property owners' associations, as well as other business entities, in a multitude of disputes. Prior to entering the practice of law, Mr. Muska worked as a homebuilder in Houston for eight years.
- Represented landlords in more than 200 trials, including more than a dozen jury trials.
- Successfully resolved over 300 disputes between property owners and their property owners' associations.
- Conducted an audit of the entire construction process for a major retail chain that uncovered double billing by subcontractors and tens of thousands of dollars of waste per project.
In 2007, Mr. Muska served as a Judicial Intern at the Fourteenth Court of Appeals in Justice Charles W. Seymore's Chambers. He has spoken at several seminars on landlord-tenant issues and authored the legal article Truth and Consequences of Additional Insured Coverage, Construction Law Journal, Vol. 5 (Winter 2007).
